Fantastic hike, steep, muddy, but it pays off.
10 minutes drive from Merano up to Vinschgau/Venosta valley, then turn right at the second traffic light after small market by the road.
Considered one of the most spectacular in the Alps the Parcines/Partschins waterfall is falling from 97 metres high.
Nature around is pure, surrounding peaks of the Alps are hidden in the clouds.
Restaurant called Waterfall Stube right beside the shuttle bus stop is full of guests.
The best way to get up here is hiking. It's not easy hike at all, but with some breaks you can make it in about an hour, an hour and a half from the village.
For those not in the shape, there is a parking spot around 15 minutes by walk down from the restaurant, or you can take a shuttle bus which gets you off right beside the entrance of the short footpath towards the waterfall.
